Today is remembering another of our great forefathers Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on 2 October for his birth anniversary!!!

He was born on October 2, 1904, in Mughalsarai, Uttar Pradesh. Shastriji was a man of great integrity and simplicity who dedicated his life to the service of the nation. He played a significant role in India’s freedom struggle and was a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi.
Shastriji’s leadership during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1965 is still remembered for his famous slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan,” which means “Hail the Soldier, Hail the Farmer.” This slogan became a symbol of India’s self-reliance and resilience during the war.
On this occasion, we remember Shastriji’s ideals, influences, and impact on India’s history and his lasting legacy. His unwavering commitment to India’s progress and his leadership during challenging times remain exemplary.
